Le Bab Covent Garden

Welcome to Le Bab Covent Garden, a haven for kebab enthusiasts and food lovers alike! Nestled at 4 Mercer Walk in London, this vibrant eatery brings an innovative twist to traditional kebabs, boasting a menu brimming with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. As a food reviewer of Pops Cafe, I've had the pleasure of indulging in the culinary delights that this establishment has to offer, and I'm excited to share my experience.

The ambiance at Le Bab is inviting and lively, making it an ideal spot for both casual dining and intimate gatherings. The layout promotes a warm social atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal with friends or family. With the eclectic decor and the bustle of Covent Garden around, you will feel the pulse of London as you savor your meal.

One highlight of my visit was the delicious Bab Boi Combo, a feast that serves two. Featuring any two indulgent kebabs, complemented by two regular sides and soft drinks, it's a delightful way to explore the menu. I opted for the Free Range Chicken Shish, which is grilled to perfection, clad in crispy southern-fried chicken skin, and enveloped in freshly baked bread. Each bite was a harmonious blend of textures and flavors, elevated by the smooth hummus and zesty kashmiri chili mayo. The presentation was also stunning, showcasing the attention to detail that defines Le Bab.

  • Premium Kebabs: The Lamb & Chimmichurri Adana was another standout; juicy and flavorful, it left an impression with its rich, savory profile.
  • Salad Bowls: For those seeking a lighter option, the Lamb Adana Salad Bowl presents a vibrant medley of quinoa, roasted butternut squash, and fresh greens that tantalizes the palate.
  • Hummus Bowls: The Chicken Shish Hummus Bowl is a symphony of flavors, perfectly complemented by crunchy toasted seeds and sweet chili mayo.
  • Sharers & Sides: Don't miss the Double Cooked Fries and the Famous Hummus—both exemplary of the cafe's commitment to quality and taste.

While the dishes were mostly divine, some reviews hinted at slight imperfections. For instance, a couple of patrons mentioned that the double-fried fries didn't meet their expectations. However, these minor grievances did not overshadow the overall experience. The friendly staff and their willingness to enhance our dining experience played a significant role in making our evening enjoyable.

In conclusion, Le Bab Covent Garden is a gem in the heart of London, offering quality kebabs that cater to diverse tastes. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this culinary delight promises a meal that is both fulfilling and memorable. I highly recommend it for anyone searching for a vibrant dining experience characterized by flavorful dishes and friendly service. Make sure to stop by and indulge in their culinary creations—you won’t be disappointed!

Good taste on the food especially the meats. The brocolli is superb and not to be missed. However the breads are not freshly made and the fries (although named double fry) but were a little limpy. Even the Flatiron Hummus tasted very good but did not look fresh and appetising. We asked for a glass of Proseco and were served half a glass (as can be seen in the photo). I did enquire the size of the pour and was informed that since it was under happy hour, that was the standard size! Really, is that the meaning of the happy hour - you halve the quantity of the pour?Subsequently, i enquired the same from the person who seemed to be the authorised person and he responded that the standard pour was ml. The pour served was significantly less than that.Overall, good food, good service but overall some aspects need looking into to make an even better experience.

September :Stopped by for dinner and was very impressed by the food. We started with the hummus and pita bread, then had the broccoli with spicy mayo, a side of fried chicken, and the paneer wrap .Flavors were very good . I would order everything again when I come back for more delicious food.Service was friendly. Thanks for a great dinner.

Was in London with family. Very good quality kebab given the location. Not too expensive given its Covent Garden. £ for four of us. That's just mains and tap water. So not the cheapest. But the quality was good. Portion size of the mains might look small but the meat is very good quality and the naan is different. It's a trrat for kebab lovers. Service was great. Might evene worth taking business clients there as there is not too much noise or loud music..
